The logistics industry in many countries faces a very real problem. Many of the companies are not fully digitized and rely on books or record keeping. The records needed to keep that data and the space it would take was a growing problem.
Digitization of services is the key here and it is the best way forward for the logistics industry in India. The question then shifted to what services can you provide to companies to entice them to shift to a digital platform.
The answer began with something small and then evolved into what is now called a ‘Super App.’
The team at Ruah Tech initially began creating an app with the sole purpose of providing Fastags to customers with cashback benefits. The app was launched under the name Axlerate to try and convey the company’s message to a wider audience.
As time passed, it became clear that the logistics industry was not content with one solution, but multiple ones. The team got to work again, putting their minds together and analyzing the industry. Then they came up with a list of potential services that would positively help the app. These lists were brought together and collated before a final draft was created. The services here ranged from business to customer and business to business. The idea behind that was to achieve maximum market penetration on both sides.
The team began working on the additional services. Totaling to a whopping thirteen, there was much work to do and not enough people to do it. Yet, despite facing a significant struggle going forward, the Ruah Tech team persevered through it all. It ultimately led to the current version of Axlerate found on the Play Store. This version provides services like fuel cards. GPS, and more all from a single location.
Now customers don’t have to go to individual providers to get individual services. Now, they can simply download the Axlerate app and access all those services from a single place. The app was a success and continues to attract downloads every day.
